Real Support. Real Talk. Real Love.
From the Hart.
The fourth trimester is real-
and you don't have to do it alone.

Hi, I'm Ashley Hartman.
I'm the Hart behind The Hartfelt Doula- a postpartum doula, currently certifying with DONA International. I'm trained in perinatal mental health, with a background in psychology and over a decade of experience supporting children and families. Before stepping into doula work, I spent many years working in childcare- as a nanny, early childhood educator, and class instructor. These roles gave me a strong foundation in early development, but nothing prepared me for the raw, beautiful, and often overwhelming reality of becoming a mother myself.I had my three girls in three different states, with no family nearby- and even with all my training and experience, the transition into motherhood shook me. It's that lived experience, combined with my professional background, that fuels the heart of my work today: providing real, nonjudgemental support to families in the tender weeks and months of parenthood. My mantra? Assess, don't obsess.
You've got this- and I've got you.
Real Support. Real talk. Real love. From the Hart.

Hartfelt Words From Clients
"Ashley was an absolute lifesaver during our first month home with our newborn! I'll never forget her first visit- after a long, glorious hot shower; I came out to a made bed, laundry going, and a peacefully napping baby. I finally exhaled a deep sigh of relief. As first time parents, we had so many questions, and Ashley brought calm, expert answers every time. Teaching us how to safely bathe our tiny human, to mastering baby carriers, she made everything feel doable. Her gentle presence, sweet connection with our daughter, and practical support were exactly what we needed.Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made. If you're on the fence- do it. You deserve this kind of support."

"Ashley was our postpartum doula for our first born and she was amazing! Even after all the books and classes, nothing fully prepared us- but Ashley did. She helped us with newborn care, baby carriers, breastfeeding issues, and even organizing the nursery. Most importantly, she gave my husband and I the confidence to care for our son. We're so grateful and highly recommend her!"
